Dhrupad aur Prakriti is a unique and immersive sound exploration in the beautiful quaint village of Dhamapur in Konkan. About 100 kms north of Goa. Over the course of 4 days, under the guidance of Dhrupad practitioner Shilpa Shanker Narain, come and explore the relationship between sound and nature.

About the event
The workshop will be held in a 100 year old ancestral home, centred around unique ecosystems such as the Bhagawati Temple overlooking the historic Dhamapur lake and the surrounding fields, forests and lateritic plateaus.
We will be exploring the relationship between Dhrupad and nature through diverse interdisciplinary modalities by engaging with music in sacred spaces, listening to nature, singing in nature, and working with our hands bridging the gap between the body-mind and nature.
Apart from singing and voice culture, we will have listening sessions with Shilpa Shanker ji and explore the relationship between instrument sound and nature through Rudra Veena and flute.
You dont need to have a background in classical music, to attend. It is open to anyone and everyone willing to explore their voice and expression through music and sound.
